G.A. #9: My Speaker Era
Hi mom and other reader,
I’m pleased to announce that I have entered my speaker era. And by that I mean, I was invited to speak about careers written in the stars at two events that took place over the course of a 2-day period. Whatever. It’s still an era. Hell, I’ve had shorter blonde eras.
This era was/is MUCH cuter.
Let me fill you in:
On May 6 and 7, the spirituality-as-a-service platform, Lora, hosted 1) a non-linear career path panel and 2) my webinar on what the cosmos have to say about your career path.
In case you missed it: I used to be a recruiter and talent development program manager in competitive and corporate AF environments. During a #burnoutera between financial services employers in 2020, I was an independent contractor for a viral Instagram account, Overheard Recruiting. I rewrote people’s, resumes, cover letters, LinkedIns, and answered ask-a-recruiter questions for moneys. I returned to it in early 2025, this time working for myself on freelancer platforms, because I needed more money. So it goes.
And it worked! I got a lot of clients. And then they became astrology clients. And (horns announcement sound) my Cosmic Career Consulting offering was born and I found my motherfucking niche. Besides the gay one. And the ADHD one. I digress.
Former recruiter, current cosmonaut: that’s me. The career advisor in me never went away when I stopped working in those roles. It just became more mystical.
Then I answered an ad I saw on the Lex app calling for spiritual practitioners, met with the Head of Growth at Lora, and became one of their practitioners. 8 months later, here we are: speaking on topics I’m most passionate about.
